Description: Here's how to remove an engine and transmission from a Honda Accord with the K24 4 cylinder engine. Removing the engine or transmission is most easily accomplished by removing it as an assembly and then separating them outside the vehicle. This must be done if rebuilding the engine or transmission, or swapping them for an upgrade. To remove the assembly the following items should be removed: shift cables, coolant and vacuum hoses, battery & tray, air box, wires connecting to the body, exhaust, axles, radiator and engine mounts. Once its clearly disconnected, the engine/transmission assembly can be lifted out the top of the vehicle with an engine crane / hoist.
